Jürgen Klinsmann, head coach of the Germany men’s national soccer team, was in action in K League 1.
Klinsmann watched the K League 1 match between Jeonbuk Hyundai and Gangwon FC at Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju, South Korea, on Saturday. He was accompanied by coach Cha Doo-ri.
“Klinsmann met with Jeonbuk advisor Roberto Di Matteo for about 30 minutes before the start of the game to talk about players who could be called up to the national team from Jeonbuk, and to share his views and opinions on Korean soccer,” said an official from the Korea Football Association. It’s been three months since Klinsmann last visited a K League match, on June 24 against Suwon Samsung FC.온라인카지노
Klinsmann was originally scheduled to travel to his native Germany to watch Bayern Munich-Leverkusen in the Bundesliga after the match against Saudi Arabia in Newcastle, England, on June 13. Munich is home to national team center back Kim Min-jae.
Public opinion of Klinsmann has been low lately. It’s been six months since he took over the reins of the national team in February of this year, but some have said his two-month stay in Korea was too short. The rescheduling of his trip to Korea and his visit to a K League game can be seen as a conscious move. Klinsmann will watch the match between Seoul and Gwangju FC at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sunday.
