Kiwoom Heroes won 2-1 at home against the KIA Tigers in the 2023 Shinhan Bank Solar KBO League on Thursday at the Gocheok SkyDome. Kiwoom sits in seventh place with 62 games played, 27 wins, one draw and 34 losses.
The game was a tight pitching battle 안전놀이터 between the two starting pitchers, Choi Won-tae of Kiwoom and Sean Anderson of KIA. Kiwoom fell behind early, giving up an early lead in the third inning.
However, Kiwoom was able to score one run each in the fourth and sixth innings thanks to two triples from team pillars Lee “99z” Jung-hoo and Kim “Hye-sung” Kim.
Lee Jung-hoo’s run stood out, but in the bottom of the sixth, Kim Hye-sung made an explosive run to third base after hitting a line drive to right-center field, living up to his nickname, Comet Express.
