The Professional Billiards Association (PBA∙General Manager Kim Young-soo) announced on the 27th that it has selected new players for the third division tour through the 2023 PBA Tryout at the Gangsang-gu Billiards Club in Daejeon for two days from the 24th.
The PBA tryout is a selection of players for the Challenge Tour (Division 3), and unlike the ‘Q-School’ or Division 1 priority registration 메이저사이트 system, where Division 1 and 2 players compete for promotion and retention in Division 1, the general public can participate if they dream of becoming a professional billiards player. If you pass the tryout, you will be eligible for the PBA 3rd Division Tour. This is an essential gateway to becoming a professional billiards player. Players can progress from the Third Division to the First Division, with the top players in each season earning a direct entry into the First Division.
A total of 199 players applied for the tryouts on a first-come, first-served basis. Twenty-three players were given priority registration for the Third Division, as they were deemed suitable to play in the Third Division based on their experience and profile. The remaining 176 players were selected through a two-day tournament system.
As a result, a total of 77 players qualified for the Challenge Tour through the tournament, including Kwak Jun-young, who finished first overall with an ‘Everage of 1.786,’ and 44 winners including Kim Han-soo, Lee Young-byung, Kim Dong-woo (A), and 33 losers including Kim Chul-seong, Lee Tae-hoon, and Kim Jong-bin.
After the player selection, the PBA Challenge Tour will begin in late August. Prior to that, the season opener of the Dream Tour (Division 2) will be held in mid-July.
